Hon. Commissioner Shri. Kailas Pagare, Women and Child Development Department, Navi Mumbai, visited the Anganwadi centers in the tribal areas of Raigad district.
On 1st November, Hon. Kailas Pagare, Commissioner, Integrated Child Development Service Scheme and Hon. Vijay Kshirsagar, visited the Anganwadi centers under the Pradhan Mantri Janajati Abhiyan (PM-Janman) in Pen, Sudhagad and Khalapur talukas of Raigad district and got information about the Anganwadi activities. They also inspected the multipurpose center of the Tribal Development Department and interacted with the villagers of the tribal wadi. The Anganwadi center at Malwadi, a tribal wadi in Pen taluka, was inaugurated by Hon. Commissioner. Various programs were organized through the Integrated Child Development Project.
Cheques were distributed to eligible beneficiaries of Lake Ladki Scheme, first installment distribution certificates were distributed to eligible beneficiaries of Matru Vandana Scheme, baby care kits were distributed, school start certificates were distributed to Anganwadi children, pregnant mothers were fed, food distribution program for 6-month-old children, Navchetna Mela, Aadhar Camp was organized and the workers/supervisors who did excellent work in Poshan Maah 2025 were felicitated by Hon. Commissioner Sir. Various fruit trees were planted and saplings were planted in the name of Anganwadi children. The Anganwadi center that received Saksham Kit in Khalapur Taluka was visited and information was obtained about the materials and installation of Saksham Kit. Hon. Commissioner Sir specially appreciated the recipe booklet prepared by the workers based on the concept of vocal for local through Sudhagad Child Development Office.
The book “1000 Days of Childbirth” was distributed to pregnant mothers and Sarpanchs, explaining the importance of the first 1000 days for proper upbringing of the child, and the Anganwadi workers appealed for maximum publicity and publicity in this regard.
During the visit, Nirmala Kuchik, District Program Officer, Zilla Parishad, Raigad, Tejaswini Galande, Project Officer, Tribal Department, Pen, Pravin Patil, Child Development Project Officer, Pen, Tejaswita Karangutkar, Child Development Project Officer, Sudhagad, Vishal Kotagade, Child Development Project Officer, Khalapur, as well as Belwade and Sidheshwar Budruk Gram Panchayat Sarpanchs and villagers were present.
Mega Camp and Blood Donation Drive under ‘Healthy Women – Empowered Families’ at Primary Health Center, Nere, Panvel
A Mega Health Camp and Blood Donation Drive was organized at the Primary Health Center, Nere, Panvel under the initiative “Healthy Women – Empowered Families.”
The camp was inaugurated by Hon. MLA Shri. Prashant Thakur.
Hon. Shri. Kisan Jawale, District Collector, Raigad, and Hon. Smt. Neha Bhosale, Chief Executive Officer, Raigad Zilla Parishad, visited the camp and provided valuable guidance.
Specialist doctors from Dermatology, Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Dentistry conducted health check-ups. Free services such as immunization, blood tests, X-ray, blood pressure and diabetes check-up, breast, cervical, and oral cancer screening were offered. ABHA and Ayushman health cards were also issued and distributed.
A total of 541 beneficiaries availed services at the camp.
The program was attended by Hon. MLA Shri. Vikrant Patil, Hon. MLA Shri. Sunil Rane, Shri. Jitendra Ingle (Upper Tahsildar, Panvel), Shri. Sameer Vatharkar (Group Development Officer, Panvel), along with other dignitaries.
The camp was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Aparna Pawar, Taluka Health Officer, Panvel, with the support of the medical officers and staff of PHC Nere, Panvel.
